Jewelry Care

General Guidelines for Caring for Your Precious Jewelry

To preserve their lasting beauty, it’s important to care for your jewels properly.
Here are some useful tips to follow:

Things to Do:
• Store each piece separately in a proper jewelry box to prevent scratches and dullness.
• Gently clean them with a soft cloth or sponge to maintain their shine.
• If necessary, you can use a bit of lukewarm water with a very mild detergent for cleaning.
• Wear your jewelry mindfully and with care.
• Over time, due to skin acidity or improper use, silver even when rhodium-plated may show
slight tarnishing. To restore its original brilliance, place your jewelry in a small bowl lined with
aluminum foil, then pour in hot water and a pinch of coarse salt.
Stir the water gently to dissolve the salt and leave the jewelry submerged until it regains its full brightness (about fifteen minutes).

Things to Avoid:
• Do not immerse your jewelry or expose it to chemicals.
• Avoid wearing jewelry during strenuous activities or manual work, as excessive perspiration
can affect its shine, and perfumes applied directly to the skin can also be harmful.
• Do not use harsh detergents or rough cloths for cleaning specialized jewelry cleaning

• Do not wear jewelry while swimming in pools, as chlorine can damage it, and saltwater can dull certain stones, especially porous ones.
• Even pearls though born from the sea can lose their luster if worn while bathing in saltwater, as they undergo treatments to preserve their natural shine.

some gemstones.
